Electric boosted systems
With 80% more efficiency than standard water heaters, a small amount of boosting can still be required, when radiant heat is low due to cloud cover or rain. ZEN Solar Hot Water Systems offer a standard electric element booster, to ensure the water temperature is maintained at 60°C, to meet all of your hot water requirements.
Suggested system size
| 2 to 3 people | 20 tube |
| 250 litre | |
| 4 to 6 people | 32 tube |
| 315 litre |
Suggested system size
| Normal water quality | Stainless steel |
| Poor water quality (bore or hard water) | Vitreous enamel |
Stainless Steel
| Model # | 20 Tube / 250 L |
| Tank Capacity | 250 litre |
| Tank Dimensions (mm) | 1620 H x 580 D |
| Solar Collector | 20 Tube |
| Electric Booster | 3.6kW |
Where normal quality water supply is available a Stainless Steel tank is recommended for longevity and efficiency. With higher rust resistance and a 10 year warranty, this unit will provide the most years of trouble free service for your family.

| Width | 1496mm |
| Aperture Area | 2.0m2 |
| Fluid Capacity | 520ml |

ZEN’s solar hot water controller has an in-built microcomputer, which is able to control the water flow and energy input into your hot water system.
This allows the system to minimise your energy costs by only heating water when it is needed.
The controller has two main aims: to make sure your hot water is being heated cost-efficiently, and to make sure you don’t run out of hot water.
The intelligent ZEN controller works by comparing the temperature at three different places in the system: the collector (roof), the top of the hot water cylinder (tank), and the bottom of the cylinder (inlet).
If the temperature at the roof is higher than the inlet temperature by a pre-set amount, the pump automatically turns on to move heated water from the roof to the tank.
It then pumps cooler water from the inlet into the collectors on the roof.
This heats the tank and cools the collectors on the roof.
When the temperature reaches the pre-set level, the pump automatically turns off.
The intelligence of the system also allows it to optimise the timing of heating water, so heat is only applied to the water in the tank when needed.
The ZEN solar controller is designed to protect your system from very high or freezing temperatures, as well as making sure safe water conditions are maintained.

Vitreous Enamel
| Model # | 32 Tube / 315 L |
| Tank Capacity | 315 litre |
| Tank Dimensions (mm) | 1510 H x 685 D |
| Solar Collector | 32 Tube |
| Electric Booster | 3.6kW |
Vitreous Enamel Tanks are recommended for areas of poor water quality (for example Bore water or hard water with high salt content) as they carry a higher resistance to impurities. These tanks have a “Sacrificial Anode” which is recommended to be replaced every 3-4 years depending on water quality. 5 year warranty included.
